In essence, you’re building the mental muscle that allows you to stop those negative Saboteurs in their tracks and switch over to the Sage brain where your inner wisdom lies. And the primary way to do that, to escape the hamster wheel in your mind, is to focus on one of your 5 senses for just a few minutes – get out of your head and into your body.

How I got hooked on developing my PQ and why I want to share it with you…

I’ve run into LOTS of self-discovery/personal development tools over the years and offer several of them through Spirited Living (like the Conscious Dating and “Now What” programs), but it’s been awhile since one really grabbed me.

Two of my oldest coaching buddies (we were in training at Coach U together 25 years ago) introduced me to the principles of Positive Intelligence in early 2021 and it immediately resonated with me for several reasons.

First, I’m a sucker for learning new, interesting coaching techniques that are packaged in an organized, systematic, and FUN way. The idea of going through the program with two dear friends was beyond tempting.

Second, I love that this PQ work is based on a ton of research, with over 500,000 participants, world class athletes, and leaders from every Fortune 100 company. It’s a synthesis of the latest breakthroughs in neuroscience, cognitive behavioral psychology, positive psychology, and performance science. My inner science nerd thinks that’s so cool!

And probably most compelling for me, is that it reflects a deeply held personal belief that the only way we can heal our psycho-emotional wounds or shift our self-limiting beliefs and negative mind-talk is to also anchor it in our bodies. When it’s been necessary over the years to refer a coaching client to a therapist, I always prefer to send them to a body-centered therapist… somatic, gestalt, EMDR are all examples.

So, how does it work?
