What do you get when you cross the Full Moon, followed by the Spring Equinox, in Women’s History Month??
Answer: a pretty cool cosmic/earthy cauldron of divinely feminine energy!
Well, my intention was to post this here right after I sent my Deb’s Picks newsletter on March 16th, but somehow time slipped away from me… sound familiar?? (And in case that happens again, definitely sign up for my newsletter so you’ll get all these goodies right when they go out!)
Basically, I’ve been inspired me to (finally) tie in my Deb’s Picks with the Full Moon. Being the Moon Mama that I am, it makes total sense to check in halfway between the New Moons every month when you’ve always gotten some form of lunar update or blog from me.
So, before March winds down and we hit the next New Moon on April 1, I wanted to acknowledge Women’s History Month and highlight some of my favorite women and their powerful work they do. Check them out below and have fun getting to know them and their passions!
PATRICIA CAMPANILE & ORG + CAFE
I was introduced to Patricia by my dear friend Barbara Biziou just in the last two months and am sooo thrilled to know her and to learn about Edgewalkers! That’s the two of us in the photo above when we got to meet face-to-face in Florida in February. Based on Dr. Judi Neal’s powerful 2006 book, Edgewalkers: People and Organizations that Take Risks, Build New Bridges, and Break New Ground, Edgewalkers are those who are on the cutting edge of human evolution and who are committed to making a positive difference in the world. I attended one of their Cafés last month, hosted by Patricia and the next one is on April 14th. If it resonates with you as it does with me, check it out!
RACHEL GINTHER AND LEEFEE MARKET
In a word, Rachel is amazing! Yes, she’s a good friend, but I’m really not biased – all you have to do is go to her website and be flabbergasted at all the offerings. Not only does she produce over 600 Vibrational/ Flower Essences & Aromatherapy products for spiritual evolution, but she’s also a gifted healer and teacher herself. As if that’s not enough, she’s created a magical 90-acre wholistic spiritual retreat and learning center AND organic permaculture farm with her wonderful husband Brian called The Garden at Thunder Hill. AND (the list keeps going) they just launched LeeFee Market, sort of an EBay for gardeners. Definitely go to Garden of One as well and check out everything else — I guarantee you’ll find something to grab you!
MINX BOREN’S BALANCE POINT NEWSLETTER
Minx is a dear friend and another one of the remarkable women I’m celebrating in my life this month. She’s also an absolutely exquisite poet and writer and one of the co-authors (along with our other dear coach-sister, Marsha) for the seasonal journal/guide series we wrote several years ago, The Authentic Woman Playbook (you can learn more about that on my website). If you really want to get a regular dose of her eloquence and wisdom, you should definitely click on her picture and sign up for her newsletter, Balance Point. It always includes “Thoughts Worth Considering, Questions Worth Asking, and Actions Worth Taking”, as well as her poetry — definitely a “pausable moment to create positive momentum”, as she says in her newsletter tagline.
KATHERINE BREWSTER & STAND UP, SPEAK OUT DOCU-SERIES
Katherine is another beloved goddess-sister who’s doing important work in the world. She’s producing this powerful online docuseries that tells the story of the dramatic shift in women’s lives over the last 50 years, empowered by the mid-20th century expansion in women’s legal rights. Each episode is comprised of a short (~10 minute) historical overview, followed by individual stories of women who came of age in the late ’60s… she’s completed Equal Pay and Voting Rights, with Reproductive Choice and more to come. I’ve seen them all and they’re so compelling and well-done. Click HERE to watch… and be sure to donate to keep it all going!
I hope you’ll check out some of these extraordinary women and the work they’re doing in the world. I’d love to hear about the ones that inspire you, too!
